Ice Cream Scoop on a Stick

If you are ice cream lovers like us, you will love this idea that I found on Martha's Stewart's site! It is a perfect treat for your 4th July get together! Make multiples of these scoops-on-a-stick and you won't have to spoon ice cream, one serving at a time, in the middle of  your party! Just make small  ice cream balls using a small ice cream scoop, place the balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Insert a craft spoon into each, and place in the freezer. I embellished my spoon using the  Hershey Kiss circles (to be used with a 3/4" circle craft punch) from Amanda's Parties to Go FREE 4th of July printable. Chill until hardened. Roll scoops in sprinkles or candies, and store them in the freezer on a freshly lined baking sheet. Enjoy!

Happy 4th of July!

School's Out SPLISH SPLASH Pool Party

We had our Annual End of the School Year Pool Party to celebrate another awesome school year! I had the great opportunity to work with Holly from Mimi's Doll house. Her Pool Party Collection was so inspiring! Brittany from Edibles Details created the cupcake toppers to match with the printable. She did an amazing job! The kids enjoyed a pool side lunch that included a whole wheat turkey sandwich, juice, chips and veggies. The dessert table included beach ball cake balls, flip flop cake pops, popsicles pops, life savers, pool noodles(twizzler), rafters(wafers), inner tubes(gummy candy), beach balls(gum balls, snow cones cupcakes and fruity beach ball. We also had a snow cone station where the kids made their own snow cones. They played water ballon fight and find the prize ball where the kids had to find the lucky ball among 200 balls floating in the pool. The kids took home a beach bucket with flip flops, beach ball, funky sunglasses and a water gun. It was a hot  and fun day!

Make a Wish Birthday Party

When my sweet friend, Bird, invited me to contribute to her Spring/Summer issue of Bird’s Party magazine, I was thrilled, excited, honored and a bit nervous!
This was my first time ever taking part in such an amazing magazine!
Everything came together when I got the help from some very talented ladies!

Here are the details of Make a Wish Party for my daughter's 9th Birthday:

Inspired by dandelions on an open field, with a color scheme of aqua and white, I created a whimsical make a wish birthday party for my daughter's 9th Birthday.
Dandelions were the focus of this party with lots of DIY crafts and decorations.

The dessert table was full of yummy and incredible treats by fabulous vendors that made the sweet table stunning!
I used photo boxes with dandelion print on them to display the dandelion marshmallows and cake pops. I wanted to create the feeling that they were in a real dandelion field.

DIY dessert table backdrop: made out of foam board covered with fabric and I added the WISH banner from  Bird's Party Make a Wish collection.

I wanted to create a magical escape for the girls to enjoy their treats, make crafts and just simply enjoy each other's company. Using white fabric strips, fishing line and the trees as poles, I made a marquee in the back yard where I set up a table on the grass and used pillows as chairs. I decorated the marquee with DIY poms and paper lanterns.
